We're pleased to see most of you hauling the new cans back from the curb after the pickup. If you find the new, huge 96-gallon cans too large to handle, you can call 311 and request the smaller 48-gallon version. The height and pickup system are the same, but they are smaller and easier to maneuver. Both cans must be the same size.

Give the operator a reason for your request. Perhaps you are elderly or have physical impairments that cause the big cans to be difficult for you. The new cans will be exchanged for the old ones within a day or two of your call.
