Wildflower Seed Planting Memorial

Observant neighbors have noticed the colorful display of native wildflowers in Mahncke Park between N. New Braunfels and Milton.

Bluebonnets, Indian blanket, plains coreopsis, Indian paintbrush, wild mustard, Missouri primrose, lavender verbena, and purple gay feather are among the flowers now in bloom.

Each fall for over 10 years, neighborhood residents have planted wildflower seeds in Mahncke park in memory of deceased neighbors, and each spring we are reminded of our friends when the flowers bloom and fill the park with color and memories.
